Doha Bank introduces tablet banking for Qatari customers

The process involving opening an account requires minimal input and the technology platform has been reinforced with security measures to protect customer information and identity, stated Doha Bank officials.

R Seetharaman, CEO of Doha Bank said, “We are committed to offer the latest in digital banking to deliver the greatest banking experience to customers. We want to continue to be the bank of choice for customers driven by smart solutions. Our legacy in introducing state-of-the-art banking solutions has a new highlight today with the introduction of the instantaneous welcome kit with the fastest account opening in Qatar.”

The new service is intended to reduce the time taken to execute simple banking processes, added Seetharaman. Tablets are enabled with 4G connectivity, allow seamless process integration and simpler inbuilt processes, thereby eliminating the scope for human errors.

Once customers receive their debit cards, they can access a wide network of ATM machines in Qatar. Many of Doha Bank’s cash machines also provide supplementary services such as selection of bill payment facilities and the deposit of cash and/or cheque deposits, which are automatically credited to the customer’s account.

In addition, a new Doha Bank account also comes with a suite of digital services to keep customers connected with their money and information. The Doha Bank mobile banking application can also be accessed through Blackberry, iPhone or Android platforms.
