Microsoft Jordan signed an agreement with the United Stated Agency for International Development Jordan Competitiveness Programme (USAID JCP) to enhance the growth of start-ups in the country
Titled the Microsoft Academic Accelerator Programme, it will focus on developing and expanding the Microsoft Innovation Centre, enabling participants to find new jobs and help them convert their ideas into start-ups.
Additionally, the programme will address Jordan’s economic challenges and help achieve national development goals, said the company. It will also boost Jordan’s ICT sector, which would empower entrepreneurs and provide impetus to the job market.
The agreement was signed at Microsoft Jordan’s headquarters by country manager Hussein Malhas and USAID JCP chief of party Wissam Rabadi.
