Qatar plans US$548 million venture for industrialisation

According to Zawya, the chamber’s deputy chairman Mohammed Al Kawari said, “We have already obtained government approval for this new venture which will be revealed in the next two months.”

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry said the company would focus on the construction of non-oil industrial projects and that many opportunities across different sectors have already been identified for this venture.

Kawari added that the company would first be run by Qatari businessmen before it is listed on the bourse and is open to the public, Zawya reported.
