Drake & Scull International PJSC (DSI) has teamed up with Middle East developer Omniyat to build a residential project at the entrance of the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai
Enabling works on the One at Palm development have been scheduled to begin within two months, with the project to be jointly developed by both companies and managed by Omniyat.
While renderings and the size of the development have yet to be revealed, the project developers said that the building would offer 360-degree views, and would feature apartments ranging in size from 232-1,858sqm.
DSI vice chairman and CEO Khaldoun Al Tabari remarked, “We are delighted to partner with Omniyat to create a unique landmark on the iconic Palm Jumeirah skyline.
“We are confident that the synergy of our combined experience and construction capabilities will deliver a new milestone on Dubai’s urban architecture.”
Mahdi Amjad, executive chairman and CEO of Omniyat, said he believed the project would “stand out on the Dubai skyline”.
“We believe this plot is the perfect location to build such an iconic development that will be a global collaboration with inputs from Dubai, Japan, New York and Lebanon,” Amjad remarked.
Japanese design firm Super Potato, Lebanon’s Vladimir Djurovic Landscape Architecture and New York-based architects SOMA will also play key roles in the design and construction of the project, which will make its debut at the upcoming Cityscape Global 2014, scheduled to place at Dubai World Trade Centre from 21-23 September 2014.
