TECOM announces DuBiotech Headquarters to open in 2015

The new DuBiotech Headquarters will offer more than 46,000 sq m in office space.

TECOM Investments has revealed that the state-of-the-art DuBiotech Headquarters, located in Dubai?s Al Barsha South, will open in 2015

Providing more than 46,000 sq m of office space, the facility will consist of two high-rise towers, as well as surrounding water features and landscaping.

Marwan Abdulaziz, executive director of TECOM Investments? DuBiotech and Enpark, said, ?The opening of DuBiotech Headquarters epitomises our success through the world class infrastructure and exemplary service we strive to provide to our business partners.?

DuBiotech, an abbreviation for the Dubai Biotechnology and Research Park, was launched in 2005 as a free zone dedicated to the life science industry and this development is a result of an increasing demand by businesses for space in Dubai.

?Our new facilities will enable us to continue to provide a platform that fosters a culture of collaboration among peer companies, so that we may achieve our part of the government?s aim to develop a knowledge-based economy,? commented Abdulaziz.

This follows the news, announced in April this year, that TECOM Business Parks plans to launch new key projects in 2014 and 2015 with a total investment of approximately US$272mn.

TECOM Business Parks CEO Malek Al Malek said, ?Dubai is cementing its position as the region?s leading strategic business hub, and receiving significant interest from global and regional players across different industries to set up their businesses.?

Other developments planned by TECOM Business Parks include The Butterfly, a two-office-building project covering approximately 23,700 sq m in Dubai Media City, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

?We continue to demonstrate our commitment to driving Dubai?s economy and industries, and our readiness to respond to growth in market demand,? Al Malek concluded.
