The UAE is gradually shifting towards steam cleaning services, in both public areas and domestic households, for a more efficient deep cleaning without using chemicals and related cleaning agents, which often have significant impact on environment, according to industry experts
Karcher, the global cleaning equipment manufacturer, said that a growing number of businesses and households in the UAE are turning to steam service to clean the stubborn dirt caused by the humid environment in the region.
Meraj Asad Khan, sales and product head for retail sales channels at Karcher for the UAE, said, ?Dust, high temperatures, pollutants trapped in AC vents, pets, children. The potential to derail good hygiene is endless. In the hot, humid and dusty conditions of the UAE, this delicate balance is easily interrupted by dirt and odours, calling for a cleaning solution that is immediate, effective and efficient.?
Karcher said that almost 99.99 per cent of germs, bacteria and microorganisms such as mould and dust mites are removed through steam cleaning services from the hard floors, tiles and glass, ceramics, bar tops, grout, furniture, bathroom and kitchen areas.
Commenting on the impact of the chemical cleaning services, Khan stated, ?There is growing evidence of how cleaning agents and chemicals can affect human health. From relieving the irritation of allergies to improving indoor air quality (IAQ), using steam over chemicals eliminates many of the health hazards associated with cleaning.?
He further added, ?Steam cleaning has the lowest environmental impact of any cleaning method, as steam is a natural sanitising and deodorising agent that works without cleaning agents or chemicals.?
The company has developed a range of steam cleaners with various applications that clean surfaces with a litre of water using pressurised steam, which aims to save time, energy and water to provide a more cost-effective cleaning services in the UAE region.
According to Karcher, a weekly steam cleaning eliminates the harmful occurrence of dirt, bacteria and dust, thereby restoring the home to a germ-free and healthy environment.
