Al Faris Equipment Rentals was supplied with two new Liebherr rough-terrain cranes ? an LRT 1090-2.1 and an LRT 1100-2.1 ? at its company headquarters in Dubai in April 2018

First of the new Liebherr series to enter the Middle East market, the cranes are part of a major order from Al Faris for a total of 27 Liebherr cranes, which will be delivered before the end of this year ? 14 LRT cranes and 13 LTM cranes with a total value of more than US$26.66mn.

Hillary Pinto, the owner of Al Faris, said, ?We have wanted rough-terrain cranes from Liebherr for a long time now. We are delighted that we can now supplement our crane fleet with the new LRT cranes so that we can continue to grow together with Liebherr.?

Pinto added that the deciding factors behind the purchase were the ease of operation and safety of the new Liebherr rough-terrain cranes. ?The safety features of the Liebherr LRT cranes are unique on rough-terrain cranes.?

Al Faris will use the new machines for medium and long-term projects in the civil construction and mineral oil industries. ?The new LRT cranes are a perfect addition to our fleet. The Middle East is one of the largest markets for rough-terrain cranes. They are essential for us as we also wish to grow in this market segment. The first two machines went straight to a construction site after the handover. The other 12 LRT cranes which Liebherr will deliver before the end of this year will also go straight into use,? stated Pinto.

Al Faris runs the largest fleet in the Middle East comprising more than 350 mobile and crawler cranes from Liebherr. Pinto goes on to say, ?Liebherr has provided us with reliable service and very fast, efficient spare parts supplies over so many years. This is as important to us as the reliability and performance of the Liebherr cranes.?
