(Image source: Al Tayer Motors)Al Tayer Motors has launched Ford Trucks for the UAE market at PMV Live, co-located with The Big 5 show, being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 17-20 November 2014

The automobile dealer is showcasing a range of heavy commercial vehicles at the event including a 1843 T tractor, a 3535D 6x4 chassis tipper, as well as a 4135M 8x4 chassis mixer.

The company has also dedicated a part of its Al Ittihad Road showroom for the display of Ford Trucks. The vehicles will also be sold through Premier Motors’ showroom in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.

Speaking at the event, Martin Penny, general manager Ford and Lincoln sales at Al Tayer Motors said, “According to some estimates, medium to heavy commercial vehicles is a segment that is expected to witness strong growth given the huge investments being made in real estate and infrastructure projects across the UAE. The addition of Ford Trucks to our portfolio complements our existing range and will enable us to cater to additional industry sectors.”

Ford Otosan in Turkey will supply the vehicles to Al Tayer Motors. Cenk Cimen, Koc Holding Automotive Group president and other senior officials from Ford Otosan and Al Tayer Motors were present at the launch at PMV Live.

Haydar Yenigun, GM at Ford Otosan, added, “We are pleased to partner with Al Tayer Motors for the introduction of Ford Trucks in the UAE, which is one of the most rapidly developing countries in the Middle East. We have a wide range of heavy commercial vehicles, which offer transportation solutions to a number of industry segments involved in the massive development projects in the country.”

According to Yenigun, Ford Otosan has developed its vehicle range for the GCC region based on the feedback from local customers in the Gulf countries and road tests spanning more than two years and covering over 300,000 km.

“According to the Global Truck Agreement with Ford Motor Company, we are building our global network in three continents and nearly in 50 countries within regions such as Russia, Turkish Republic, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Northern Africa. In the near future, our plan is to expand our sales, which first started with the UAE and Saudi Arabia, to the whole region including the Gulf countries and Middle East. We opened our first regional office in Dubai, which will be responsible for the Middle East region. With the help of our new office, we will be closer to our customers and fulfil their requirements immediately,” added Yenigun.

Ford Trucks customers will be able to service their vehicles at Al Tayer Motors’ service facility located at Dubai Investments Park. In addition, as part of its customer focused strategy, the company has also launched a Ford Trucks mobile service unit, which is aimed at providing assistance to customers in case of any emergencies.
