Held in November at Dubai, The Big 5 2011 attracted more than 49,000 participants, an increase of 6 per cent on the previous year's participation figures.

The 2,500 exhibitors at The Big 5 2011, have been keen to discuss developments in the market and the activities they have been undertaking by announcing new contracts and products at the show.

Winners of the prestigious construction environmental awards, the Gaia Awards 2011, were announced today (November 22, 2011) at the Green Build Congress, being held as part of The Big 5 2011.

The Big 5, the largest event for the building and construction industry in the region, was inaugurated by His Highness Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai yesterday (November 21, 2011).
