bauma confirms it’s already booked to capacity for 2016

bauma Lidingo Wikimedia Commonsbauma, the largest trade fair in the world with regard to space, has announced that it is already booked to capacity for its next edition that is to be held in Munich next year

The next bauma takes place in Munich, Germany from 11-17 April 2016. The upcoming fair features a new service; for the first time ever, companies that are on the waiting list and have not yet been assigned space can have themselves listed in the bauma directory.

The companies then participate without stand space, although they will be included as additionally represented companies in the online exhibitor directory and will be listed under their respective product categories. They also have access to a special lounge, so they can make appointments and hold meetings there during the fair. In addition to lead management, they can also book other services such as electronic press compartments or advertising alternatives.

One reason for this step is that the upcoming bauma is already booked to capacity, and there are waiting lists for several sectors. Klaus Dittrich, CEO of Messe München, is naturally pleased with the feedback from interested companies, although he also understands the related difficulties. “Just like in 2013, we have been unable to satisfy all the requests for space or for increases in space.”

The company does what it can to allow as many companies as possible to adequately participate in the fair, but has reached its maximum capacity with regard to space. Dittrich explains the idea behind the new participation alternative, “We want to give companies that we have been unable to accommodate in the past an opportunity to call the bauma community’s attention to themselves and their products and to make contacts during the fair.”
