Cooper Tire announces new appointments for the MEA

Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe has announced the appointment of Christophe Huss as the new sales director for the Middle East and Michiel Kramer as the marketing director for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa

Through these appointments, Cooper anticipates to strengthen its presence in the Middle East region.

Huss previously worked with organisations like Bridgestone and Marangoni. He has joined Cooper as the sales director for the Middle East from his previous role as regional sales manager for the Middle East, Africa and Mediterranean. With more than 20 years of experience in the global tyre market, Huss can speak English, French, Italian and Spanish.

With around 12 years of experience in the tyre industry, Kramer has joined Cooper from Nedap Security Management, where he was the director of channel sales for Europe. Prior to this, he worked with Apollo Vredestein, the Netherlands-based global tyre manufacturer, as area export manager for the Middle and Eastern Europe and market development manager for the US.

In his new role, Kramer will be responsible for marketing, pricing, business intelligence and product management for the company?s operations in the Europe and MEA region.

Commenting on their appointment with Cooper, Huss said, ?Michiel and I look forward to working closely with Cooper?s regional partners to expand the brand?s reach over the coming months and years as we continue to offer high-quality products which are a great value to our customers.?

As part of their new position with Cooper, Huss and Kramer will report to Luis Ceneviz, managing director for tyre operations in Latin America and Europe at Cooper, with responsibility for the Middle East market.

Cooper said that it focuses on to expand its business in the MEA, with providing the citizens in the region a grater access to its products. Recently, the company launched its website and marketing materials in Arabic for the customers in the region, aiming to boost Cooper?s presence in the Middle East market.
