EFS gets integrated facilities management contract with KAEC in Saudi Arabia

EFS Facilities Services, facilities management (FM) service provider, has received a contract to launch an integrated facility management venture at King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC) in Saudi Arabia

Under the agreement, EFS will provide integrated facilities management services across the city, which include catering, transportation and value-added services such as integration of smart technology and computer-aided facility management (CAFM).

According to EFS, the contract will run for an initial period of three years.

Speaking about the need of an integrated FM services in KAEC, Tariq Chauhan, group CEO of EFS Facilities Services, said, ?King Abdullah Economic City is a major social and economic growth driver for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. As the city grows in complexity, so too does its need for state-of-the-art integrated facilities management.?

KAEC is one of the largest privately-funded new city developments in the world, covering an area of 181 sq km on Saudi Arabia?s Red Sea Coast. The city?s King Abdullah Port is one of the world?s top 100 container ports and feeds a growing logistics and manufacturing hub.
