Emrill, facilities management provider in the UAE, has recently formed a strategic partnership with Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) as part of its commitment to develop young talent and procurement professionals to promote best practices
Through this partnership, Emrill’s supply chain department gets direct access to an accredited training programme for a diploma in procurement and supply through CIPS.
Jason Ruehland, managing director at Emrill, said, “Education and career development of our colleagues are crucial aspects of success and have always been one of the top priorities at Emrill. The CIPS-accredited diploma in procurement and supply will provide our colleagues access to a globally recognised programme, which is benchmarked against UK and International Occupational Standards. This partnership will help Emrill build and maintain lasting partnerships with supply chain, thereby enhancing buying power for the benefit of our end-customers who will enjoy better quality of services with improved cost efficiencies.”
Once trained and certified, Emrill’s employees will be equipped with the skills to plan, prepare and carry out effective negotiations. They will also be able to apply a range of contractual terms and tenders with a strong understanding of how they affect direct and indirect expenditure.
The programme will also enable participants to apply unique techniques to manage relationships and understand how to leverage opportunities to maximise the effectiveness of the supply chain department and employ best practice principles in a diverse range of sectors.
Sam Achampong, regional director CIPS MENA, added, “We are delighted to be working with Emrill in the MENA region to assist in their capability development initiatives. This partnership is a testament to Emrill’s commitment to best-in-class, and ethical procurement practice and we look forward to working with them to achieve globally-recognised standards.”
Due to the programme’s online self-study format, trainees can access the CIPS e-learning library containing high-quality content across a range of purchasing, procurement and supply chain management topics.
