GreenParking has increased its operations in Dubai to more than 100 per cent over the last two years mostly in airport projects, hotels, and malls, according to eco-friendly parking solutions provider
GreenParking promotes green technologies through its smart and eco-friendly approach by introducing new and innovative ideas like the parkchip system, which is non-toxic and drastically reduces paper waste. GreenParking also looks into supply, installation and maintenance, operations and valet services.
According to the company, the UAE is currently paving the way to make the country and the Gulf region the centre of sustainable development. Dubai has already introduced green building standards and is on the way to become the ‘Smart City of the Future’, as well as Abu Dhabi that is developing the world’s first carbon-neutral city, Masdar, where the International Renewable Energy Agency headquarter is located. GreenParking’s approach will help to realise the UAE’s leaders’ vision, it added.
Sam Alawiye, GreenParking managing director, said, “For the past 18 years we have seen a durable expansion of controlled parking zones and our aim is to convert as many as possible into green and environmental friendly spaces. GreenParking has expanded its operations to reach more than 30 projects in the UAE.”
GreenParking projects include Emaar, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Meraas, Dubai World Trade Centre, JW Marriott Marquis and Sharjah International Airport.
Its upcoming projects include managing the parking guiding system of Al Bateen Palace in Abu Dhabi — new presidential reception palace for Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi — and providing the VIP parking guidance system, LED lighting and parking counting system for the RTA headquarters in Dubai.
This year GreenParking also introduced its intelligent electric vehicle (EV) charging systems in the UAE with DEWA appointing it to supply the first EV charging station installations across Dubai.
