MaK Middle East LLC has opened its workshop in Dubai Maritime City to provide after-sales support in the region

MaK Middle East, a unit of industrial giant Caterpillar, is focused on parts and services for Caterpillar?s medium speed engine brands MaK, CM and EMD in the Middle East.

?The Middle East maritime market is very competitive and that?s why we are keen on bringing our factory?s know-how to the region to better serve our clients, build customer satisfaction and ensure new MaK, CM and EMD engine sales,? Alan Naisby, managing director of MaK Middle East and MaK Asia, said.

?We are proud to establish this new office and workshop in Dubai Maritime City to expand the business model we have successfully deployed over the last 8 years with MaK Asia based in Shanghai and Singapore. The new state-of-the-art workshop in Dubai is equipped with top-quality, dedicated machines to provide high-quality component overhauls. It also serves as the base for the factory trained service engineering team offering a wide range of services including troubleshooting, turnkey repairs, supervision and scheduled overhauls. Service exchange components are stocked in the facility and new parts are stocked in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. Initially, the Maritime City facility will employ 16 marine trained professionals and field service engineers with back-up coming from Singapore and the UK,? Naisby added.

?MaK Middle East is the only factory authorised distribution operation for MaK, CM and EMD brands in the ten Middle East countries of the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Syria, Jordan and Lebanon.?
