Saudi Arabian steel firm awarded turnkey contract for warehouse in Dammam

(Image source: MarkHunter/Flickr)Saudi Electric Supply Company (SESCO) has awarded a US$6.6mn turnkey contract to Zamil Steel Construction Company (ZSCC) for the Tamimi Warehouse Complex in Dammam

The Tamimi warehouse complex is located in the eastern part of Saudi Arabia. According to authorities at ZSCC, the scope of the contract includes the design, fabrication, supply and erection of nearly 550MT of pre-engineered steel buildings in addition to the provision of all engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) works.

Mohammed Al Sahib, director of ZSCC, said, “ZSCC is well-suited to this type of project, since we specialize in turnkey operations and maintain the level of staffing and supply connections needed to ensure the quickest completion time possible. We look forward to applying our coordination skills and access to the highest quality materials to this new project.”

Project officials stated that the warehouse project is a fast-track undertaking, which includes several components. There are several complex safety and security requirements for the project that need to be completed within a demanding time frame.
