Ducab, a UAE cable manufacturer, celebrates 40 years of growth and business expansion while showcasing its products at the Middle East Electricity show in Dubai

Andrew Shaw, managing director at Ducab, said, ?During our 40th year of operations, we are reflecting on the continual investments in facilities and people that has brought value to Ducab?s customers and to the national economy of the UAE. The needs of the energy sector have evolved a great deal during this time.?

?At this year?s Middle East Electricity conference, we are thanking our partners for their continued trust and loyalty, while also exploring new partnerships through which we can expand our product range, reach out to a wider geographical network, and build a more empowered and skilled workforce for the future,? he added.

At MEE 2019, Ducab will present its latest offering across Ducab Group?s business unit, including wires and cables, high voltage, metals and Ducab Aluminum Company. It will elaborate on the best practices for the transmission of power generated at renewable energy sources to national grids.

Founded in 1979, Ducab now serves global customers in the energy, construction, transport, defence, mining and many other sectors. The company exports around 60 per cent of its products and has diversified to offer the full range of cables, aluminium and copper rods from six manufacturing facilities.

It employs more than 1,600 people to serve customers across the UAE, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Europe and the US.

While the company has achieved significant international growth in recent decades, the company believes that the future of its industrial operations must be targeted at promoting research and innovation, talent development and strengthening the regulatory framework for the cable industry.
