Galperti to set up manufacturing unit in Dammam

Italy-based Galperti Group, has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabias Al Shoaibi for a joint venture that will facilitate the establishment of a new manufacturing facility in Dammam

?We?ve completed all the paperwork and are pleased to be setting up a joint venture with Al Shoaibi,? said Galperti board member Andrea Galperti.

?We have the machinery and are now waiting for the necessary permissions.?

The new facility will take over part of the company?s Saudi Arabia operations from its hub in Dubai, further bolstering its 26-strong sales office network.

?We forge the metal we use for manufacturing,? remarked Galperti. ?This offers our customers excellent traceability for quality control purposes and means they only have to visit a single site for vendor inspections.?

The company currently has business interests with customers such as Sabic and Saudi Aramco. While the Group has been raising its profile in Saudi Arabia, Galperti said that the company?s policy was to ensure it has a diversified customer base in order to mitigate country-specific dips in business.

The company has said it hoped to supply more than 100 prospective customers across several sectors in Saudi Arabia alone.
