Sodamco, part of the Saint-Germain group, has commenced construction of its latest manufacturing facility in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), Saudi Arabia

The facility is being built in phase three of the Industrial Valley at KAEC and will be operational by 2017. It will supply adhesives, slurry covered tiles, ready mixed plastering materials, flooring and concrete repair and related products to meet the growing demand from construction industries in Saudi Arabia and East African markets.

KAEC group CEO and managing director Fahd Al-Rasheed said, ?We are very pleased with this new strategic partnership, which proves that the economic city continues to be outstandingly successful in attracting top international companies. KAEC is the ideal starting point for Sodamco?s business because the city has a technologically advanced infrastructure and public services.?

KAEC also happens to have access to the high speed Haramain Railway as well as the King Abdullah Port, making it a viable investment hub. It is planned to be the centre of non-oil enterprises, expected to contribute to Saudi Arabia?s growth as a top world economy.
