Immensa launches first 3D printing facility in the UAE

ImmensaImmensa Technology Labs, UAE’s leading additive manufacturing (AM) company, has launched the first 3D printing facility in Dubai, which comprises eight 3D printing systems and more than 30 materials for production

The launch of the new facility came in line with the ‘Dubai 3D Printing Strategy’ of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

According to Immensa lab, the new facility is equipped to build and manufacture the production quality parts, components and one-off prototypes for the customers across a variety of industries.

The opening of the new 3D printing facility is expected to increase the use of 3D printing in Dubai. It also aims to benefit the country’s other projects including the plan to create a 3D printed skyscraper and 3D printed research laboratory.

Reporting to the press, Fahmi Al Shawwa, the chief executive of Immensa Technology Labs, said, “Our team is passionate about 3D printing, design and manufacturing, and we cover the entire process to help our clients every step of the way, from design concepts and material options to technology selection, 3D printing production and post-production processing.”

He further added that the company has used a wide range of smart technologies to provide the clients with an effective and financially viable use of 3D printing.

The company stated that its new facility in Dubai houses the advanced technologies like selective laser sintering, stereolithography, extrusion and material jetting.

“We solve our customers’ most complex problems by providing multi-material, digital manufacturing solutions,” Immensa said.

Established in Dubai in 2016, Immensa is a 3D printing solution provider, which aims to bridge the gap between the uses of 3D printing technologies, materials and the practical use of such technologies.
