Bauer International working on tunnel project

Bauer International is working on building a tunnel at Nation Towers, in Abu Dhabi, which will go under the existing Corniche Road and will link the shopping complex and other components to a purpose built beach club.

The work on this project takes in the construction of a 78 linear metre secant pile wall, 900 mm diameter, to retain a 10 m excavation depth, with eight tieback anchors and supporting struts. In addition, soil stabilisation works encompassed the installation 54 grouting pipes with a diameter of 88.90 inches and a length of approximately 88 meters.

The project is set to be completed by October 2011.
