Qatar Airways launches flight between Doha and Addis Ababa

Qatar Airways has launched flights three times a week between Doha and Addis Ababa

The Doha to Addis Ababa flights will be operated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, while the return flights from Addis Ababa to Doha will take off on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

According to the airline, the Doha-Addis Ababa route will be served by an Airbus A320 featuring up to 12 seats in business class and up to 132 seats in economy.

Qatar Airways chief executive officer Akbar al Baker said, ?Ethiopia is one of the driving forces behind the change which is taking place in the African economy, hence we decided on opening up a new route to Addis Ababa.

?Passenger demand prompted this new route and we are excited that we are able to bring our services to Ethiopia for first time.?
